Well, you can’t say I’ll do it wrong when you haven’t even seen it yet.

And additionally, what’s so bad about making my own tutorial? I’m sure there already are tutorials out there, both in video and text form, and other forms as well, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t make my own.

Tutorial Video for UTAU Announced

I will be making a tutorial video for the computer program UTAU, as requested by a user on Google+. It should be available within a few days.

The tutorial video will go over how to download and install the program, downloading and installing voice banks, and of course, how to use the program itself to add notes and make songs.

It will also be one of the first videos that will include my actual voice.

This is my newest song, called Endymion. I wrote it for a school assignment, and afterwards, I decided to put it on YouTube. It is sung by my favorite UTAU voicebank, Daatura.

It’s about the Greek myth about Endymion, the extremely handsome son of Zeus that happens to catch the interest of the moon goddess, Selene. I explain the whole story in the video’s description.

Sheet music is also available, and a link to SoundCloud, from where this song can be downloaded.

This is my first cover using an UTAU.

This song I covered is called “Renai Circulation”. It is the 4th opening song from the anime “Bakemonogatari”. Feel free to take a look!

About UTAU and Vocaloid… well, the basics

While I do have a (huge) interest in computer programming, I also have an interest in music. UTAU (and, likewise, Vocaloid) are synthesizers, computer programs that take lyrics, a melody, and a digital voice, and make a song out of it. The only difference is that UTAU is completely free, and thusly, not quite as good a quality as Vocaloid.

(Those of you who have heard of the “virtual diva”, Hatsune Miku, already know of Vocaloid. Miku is, undoubtedly, the most popular voice for Vocaloid out there.)
